Emotional Regulation
Help your child build the emotional skills they need to thrive. Our occupational therapy approach teaches self-regulation, coping strategies, and emotional resilience through engaging, supportive therapy sessions.
Why Emotional Skills Matter
Emotional regulation is the ability to manage and respond to emotions in healthy ways. Children who struggle with emotional regulation may have difficulty in school, with friendships, and at home. The good news is that emotional skills can be learned! Our occupational therapy approach helps children develop the tools they need to understand and manage their feelings.
How We Help
Self-Awareness
Learning to identify and name emotions, understand triggers, and recognize body signals
Coping Skills
Building a toolkit of strategies to manage big feelings in healthy ways
Social Skills
Developing empathy, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Resilience
Building the ability to bounce back from setbacks and handle challenges

Learning Through Play
For younger children, we use play-based therapy that makes learning emotional skills fun and engaging. Through games, creative activities, and role-play, children practice identifying emotions, trying out coping strategies, and building social skills in a safe, supportive environment.
For older children and teens, we incorporate more discussion-based and cognitive approaches while still keeping sessions engaging. We also provide parent coaching so families can reinforce skills at home and support their child's emotional growth.
